The Royal Society is a Fellowship of many of the world&#8217;s most eminent scientists and is the oldest scientific academy in continuous existence. Jack\u2019s current research interests focus on perhaps the most profound question in all of biology: how could living systems arise from nonliving precursors? The Szostak laboratory explores this questions through the synthesis of self-replicating, proto-biological systems.
